This week has been a busy one! We were lucky enough to have three of the grandkids sleep over at the WX Whistlestop while their mom and dad went on a road trip. The first day we took a scenic route home in which we drove by the Draper temple that is under construction and ate pizza for dinner. The next day they went to lunch at Wendy's, picked out some books at the bookfair, and ate spaghetti for dinner.
The fun didn't stop there. The girls got manicures and pedicures from their aunts (although the polish on their fingernails flaked off quickley), watched Ella Enchanted and Robin hood, and our little pro gamer got some XBOX time (his favorite being the Star Wars game).
It's a good thing they got healthly doses of spoiling because the kiddos had to endure two days (plus another with Mom and Dad) at IKEA so that their aunts could get some blinds, hooks, etc. for their bedrooms that are being remodeled.
The first day ran into naptime so we called it quits prematurely. Trip number two we went better prepared! We dropped off Jake and Lindsey at the playland and set up camp in a cart for Maggie that we nicknamed Club Maggie because it was complete with blanket, toys, a book, and snacks.
Here is a picture of Maggie at the club!
After the shopping was done we treated ourselves to lunch at the IKEA restaurant.
Here is a table that caught Grandma's eye. It would be perfect to bring out at mealtimes for company and then fold back up and store away after.
